Sales Policy

FULL DISCLOSURE POLICY
We promise to be forthcoming with any disqualifications in a rabbit, and any past injuries that may affect the quality of the rabbit (a broken leg that healed, or a dead tail, for example). We will always tell you why we are selling the rabbit.
HEALTH
We guarantee that all our rabbits are free of disease/illness. We will not let you go home with an apparently unhealthy rabbit. If by some chance the rabbit develops symptoms or you see signs of disease during the first week, you can bring it back for a full refund or exchange. Injury is not covered under our health guarantee. If the rabbit is injured under your care, there will be no refund/exchange even if it happens during the first week.
GUARANTEES ON SHOW, BROOD, AND PET RABBITS
Show rabbits are guaranteed free of disqualifications to the best of our ability, at the time of sale, and come with a pedigree. If you find a disqualification on a rabbit that was sold as a show rabbit within the first week, you can bring it back for a full refund or exchange. If the rabbit develops a disqualification after you have purchased it (ie. pulls its teeth on the wire of the cage, or goes over weight), no refund is offered. Our health guarantee and full disclosure guarantee applies, as always.
Brood quality rabbits may or may not be showable, but if they are disqualified, it will be due to a non-health related DQ and often a non-genetic DQ (ie. the rabbit has broken toes). Brood rabbits always come with a pedigree and are always purebred. Our health and disclosure guarantees apply, as always.
Pet quality rabbits may or may not have a pedigree, may be of mixed decent, and usually have a disqualification (of genetic or non-genetic nature). Our health and disclosure guarantees apply, as always.
HOLDING POLICY
We require a $15 deposit per rabbit to place a hold. When you pick up the rabbit, this amount is subtracted from the total price of the rabbit. So if you place a hold on a $40 rabbit, you pay $15 to place the hold and $25 when you pick up. We will hold a rabbit for no more than 2 weeks (this does not count the time the rabbit is in the cage with its dam, which is 8 weeks). We do not require any kind of deposit/payment to hold a rabbit until its 8 weeks old. However, you can place a hold on a rabbit when it is less than 8 weeks old, and that hold will carry over until 10 weeks.
Example: You place a hold on a rabbit when it is a few days old. We will hold it for you until it has been exactly two weeks since it was weaned (at 8 weeks). But, if you place a hold on a rabbit when it is 3 months old, we will hold it until it is 3 months and 2 weeks old.
You may extend the hold for another 2 weeks for $10. This will also be subtracted from the total price of the rabbit when you pick it up. However, you may only extend it once, which means we will not hold a rabbit for you for more than a month. Any money paid to hold a rabbit is non-refundable. The only way you get it back is when you pick up the rabbit.
If for some reason the rabbit you placed a hold on dies, we will refund any money you paid us to hold it for you.
PRICING
Pricing depends on gender and quality of rabbit. There is no guarantee on when prices will change; it may be from year to year, month to month, week to week, or even day to day. However, if I quote you a price for a specific rabbit when you place a hold on it, that price cannot change unless you back out of the hold.  See Discounting for more details.
SELLING OF RABBITS
We will never, ever let you take the rabbit without payment in full. We take cash only.
You are more than welcome to pay for a rabbit or several rabbits over the course of several weeks or more as long as they are under your hold during that time and payment has been received in full at time of pickup. Please contact me if this is something you are interested in doing.
INABILITY TO CARE FOR THE RABBIT
If you no longer want the rabbit for any reason, you can bring it back but we will not offer a refund or replacement. We would rather you give the rabbit back to us then leave it on the side of a road or at a shelter. We will not take back contagiously ill animals unless they fall under our health guarantee (first week only). This means that if the rabbit has a disease or illness that is transmittable to other rabbits, we will not accept the rabbit back into our barn. If it has a non-transmittable deformity such as malocclusion or a broken leg, and you no longer want to care for it, we will take the rabbit back. Again, we do not want to be dumped on the side of the road or at a shelter, nor do we want it to suffer unnecessary pain.
SHIPPING
We will not ship rabbits via airline due to liability, cost, and unnecessary stress of the animal. Depending on where you are, we may be able to arrange car transport to an agreed on meeting place
DISCOUNTING
We offer a discount to 4-H and FFA members, returning buyers, and purchases of large quantities of rabbits.
